Purpose
Observation of nasal bones and nasal septum.
The imaging technique is similar to the Waters view.
Prior confirmation
Remove any obstructing objects (Piercing, glasses, etc.).
Positioning
Prone or seated position.
Align the mid-sagittal plane with the central axis of the cassette and make it vertical.
Place markers (R/L).
Elevate the chin and align the longitudinal axis of the nasal bones perpendicular to the cassette (approximately 45-50° relative to the cassette, known as the Frankfort horizontal plane).
CR, distance, field size
CR : The nasal tip is used as the exit point, and the X-ray beam is directed perpendicular to the cassette.
Distance : 100 cm.
Field size : Approximately 10×10 cm, encompassing the entire nasal bones.

The nasal bones should be projected symmetrically.
There should be no superimposition of the nasal bones and alveolar ridge.
The irradiation field should be minimized to include only the necessary area.
