Purpose
Observe for compression of the groove through which the ulnar nerve passes and for calcification.
Prior confirmation
If it is difficult to maintain the posture, consider other imaging methods.
Positioning
Seat the patient in the chair.
Flex the elbow joint, palms facing up.
The angle between the humerus and forearm bone is 30 degrees.
The long axis of the forearm bone should be parallel to the film.
Abduct the upper arm 20 degrees.
CR, distance, field size
CR : X-rays are perpendicularly incident on the medial epicondyle.
Distance : 100cm
Field size : Range including the elbow joint, right and left narrowed down to the skin surface.
Exposure condition
50kV / 4mAs
